Rod Stewart has taken matters into his own hands and repaired the potholes on a road near his house after he had trouble driving his Ferrari down the street.
Sir Rod, 77, posted a video of the moment to Instagram, where he can be seen wearing a hi-vis vest and tracksuit bottoms as he works as part of a team shovelling gravel into the road.
Speaking in the video while shovelling gravel, Rod noted there had been several incidents on the road, while also quipping: “My Ferrari can’t go through here at all!”
“This is the state of the road near where I live in Harlow and it’s been like this for ages,” he said.
“People are smashing their cars up. The other day, there was an ambulance with a burst tyre. My Ferrari can’t go through here at all!”

He continued: “So me and the boys thought we would come and do it ourselves. We are filling the holes while millions and millions of pounds have been spent on the M11.”
The veteran singer captioned the post: “Working for a living, filling holes is good for the soul!”
Rod’s fans loved the video, with many leaving clapping emojis – although one fan did warn the singer to be careful and not injure himself, as they had tickets for his upcoming concert.
Another added: “Community service!”
The musician lives in Essex in a reported £4.6million mansion with wife Penny Lancaster, 50, who he married in 2007 in a stunning Italian ceremony on the Riviera near Portofino.
The couple have two children together Alastair, 16, and Aidan, 11, who live with them at their ten bedroom home in the countryside.
Rod also has six children from previous relationships.
Last year, the couple took to Instagram to celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary.
Rod slipped into one of his signature patterned blazers and a white shirt and yellow trouser combo.
Penny went for a boho floral maxi dress, her blonde locks curled to perfection.
Taking to Instagram to share the occasion with fans, Penny gushed over the celebrations.
“Celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary on #sigridofchelsea in aid of @chainofhopeuk #london #thethames,” she said as the couple toasted their marital success.
