She’s previously joked that her “ life never goes smoothly ” and it would seem it was something of a premonition, as reality TV personality Gemma Collins was evacuated from her hotel at 5.30am this morning after an emergency fire alarm sparked chaos.
It came after the former TOWIE star performed in her GC’s Big Night Out show in Cardiff last night.
On her Instagram stories, Gemma followed her bodyguard, Sid, down the stairs of their hotel, and said: “Guys you couldn’t write it. It’s half five in the morning.
“After my performance last night I went for a bit of dinner, came home and got woken up this morning by a fire alarm.
“We have got the all clear at the hotel.”

Thankfully, the emergency was a false alarm, and Gemma ended her Instagram story saying: “I’m really pleased everyone is OK and it is a false alarm.”
She and her bodyguard enjoyed a cup of tea in the hotel lobby before making their way back upstairs.
Gemma then took a selfie video clutching her cup of tea, wearing a full face of makeup – presumably from the night before – and reassured her fans once again by saying: “It was a false alarm, everyone’s safe, thank goodness”, before despairing that she had “to be up in a few hours”.
In her usual witty humour, just a few hours later the Essex-born beauty posted a fresh-faced video with wet hair as it was dried by her hair stylist. She put her palm to her face as Capone’s Oh No song played in the background.
Gemma will be performing the final show of her GC’s Big Night Out Tour tonight in Newcastle, before she turns her attention on rehearsing for her upcoming role as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton in the UK tour of Chicago the Musical, which kicks off on May 31.
The star was recently forced to defend herself against critics who claimed that she only got the Chicago role “because of who she is”.
Whilst onstage for the launch night of her one-woman show, The GC’s Big Night Out in Manchester last week, Gemma said: “I’ve had a lot of stick from theatre goers and performers going, ‘Oh she just got it because she’s the GC.’
“I didn’t just get it because of the GC. I auditioned for the role.”
She explained: “I trained really hard and auditioned and got it on the second one.”
