A huge police cordon is in place outside an elderly lady’s house after residents reported hearing “gunshots”. Cleveland Police are currently at the scene. The incident occurred at Wilton Way, with one police van currently located outside the property.
Residents at the scene have reported “gunshots” in the early hours of Sunday morning. One resident has also told how the property involved in the gunfire belongs to an elderly lady.
The front window of the property has been smashed.
Residents say that the “shooting” happened around 1am on Sunday, reports TeessideLive.
One neighbour said: “Its disgusting that people are using guns in this county – let alone shooting at an old woman’s house. I hope whoever is responsible is caught fast. We never get much trouble round here and lately it’s all you hear about.”
The large front window of the Wilton Way home has been completely shattered. There are large, sharp panes of glass visible from the road.
The white blinds remain drawn despite the damaged window.
A crack and small hole is also visible in the upstairs window. The blinds are also drawn.
