Specifically speaking about Warzone 2, it feels vastly different from the original battle royale. That’s also because of a newly introduced mode in DMZ which is unlike anything Call of Duty fans have experienced in the history of the action series. Considering the fact that this mode is still in an infant stage, the makers should work upon its expansion more, even for a non-Modern Warfare installment going forward.

The DMZ mode of Call of Duty Warzone 2 should exist in the coming future as well

So far, there have been various rumors suggesting that Sledgehammer is working on the upcoming DLC content for 2022’s Modern Warfare II. Along with that, a new Black Ops title for 2024 has also been revealed, thanks to strong leaks from some insiders.

It’s obvious that after the two-year life cycle of Infinity Ward’s MWII is finished in 2023, Treyarch might take over to bring its own new entry in the series. However, the biggest question is: will Treyarch keep certain elements of the existing Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2?

Hence, it deserves to live as long as possible, unless the developers don’t decide to cut it unexpectedly. It has happened with other fan favorite modes as well, especially in the original Warzone entry.

But speaking of the future, then the rumored Black Ops game should keep an experience like DMZ. It is possible as well considering that the newly introduced mode is still in a Beta version. Which means it has got the potential to be stretched even further with future installments, no matter if they are from Infinity Ward or not.

There’s still a lot to be witnessed in DMZ by the players. Makers can bring up new weapon rewards, various forms of enemies, or other contract-based missions in the next major premium offering. Assuming it is Call of Duty Black Ops, in 2024, then Treyarch must keep this mode going forward in their project as well. It will only make their game more intriguing and engaging. Working alongside Raven Software might help their team a lot.

Since Treyarch is known for offering a great Zombies-based Multiplayer experience, a similar concept can be used for DMZ as well. All things considered, this type of content definitely deserves a longer life cycle. Hopefully, Activision will make sure that it happens eventually.
