Sisters launch business with £150 – now they’re making

Investing just £150 on materials in the beginning, two sisters have been able to generate £120,000 in income from their candle business.

Giselle Martinez, 31 and her sister Liz launched Maison Bohiti after seven years of travels.

After creating special memories, they wanted to sell candles and create scents that evoked their powerful memories.

They aimed to “transport people to a specific place or a memory they have”.

The sisters currently sell around 500 candles a week on their Etsy store as well as the Maison Bohiti website.

In their first year they made £120,000 and this year so far, they have made about £80,000.
