Apple’s upcoming ‘Wonderlust’ event is expected to unveil four iPhone models: iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max, dispelling earlier speculations of an iPhone 15 Ultra. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is not planning to release an iPhone 15 Ultra in 2023. Instead, the company will release four models: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to have a 48-megapixel main camera, a new A16 Bionic chip, and a new design with a pill-shaped cutout for the front-facing camera and Face ID sensors. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to have a 12-megapixel main camera, an A15 Bionic chip, and a design that is similar to the iPhone 14.

The decision not to release an iPhone 15 Ultra is likely due to cost. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is already the most expensive iPhone ever released, and Apple may not be willing to go even higher with the price of the iPhone 15 Ultra. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to be significant upgrades over the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, so Apple may not feel the need to release an even more expensive model.

We will have to wait and see what Apple announces at its fall event on September 12, 2023. However, it is looking increasingly likely that there will be no iPhone 15 Ultra this year.
