AC/DC live: WATCH Brian Johnson sing What Do You Do For Money Honey back in 1981

Next week marks the 40th anniversary of Back In Black. The record was AC/DC’s first album with Brian Johnson as singer following the death of Bon Scott earlier in 1980. Now the band’s official YouTube channel has shared rare live footage from a year later. AC/DC are seen performing What Do You Do For Money Honey at Nihon Seinenkan in Tokyo, Japan.

Back in Black was AC/DC’s seventh studio album and featured a black cover in mourning of Scott.

While the record begins with Hells Bells, which starts with the funeral toll of a 2000 pound bronze bell.

Earlier this month, an unearthed interview with Lemmy – recorded not long before he died – saw the Motörhead star reminisce about times with Bon Scott in the seventies.

Speaking with AC/DC Beyond The Thunder podcast, the 69-year-old said how he first saw the band perform before they were famous.

The Motörhead star even recounted taking a girlfriend backstage at an AC/DC concert to impress her.

He said: “I remember seeing [Bon Scott] come off stage in between songs and fall down.

“And then get up and get pushed back on. He’d really give it all.

“It’s good, it’s the way you should do it, it’s a work out.”
