One savvy shopper took to Facebook to explain how to get your hands on some great deals in-store at Aldi.

She wrote: “Somebody asked today when was the best time to get red sticker deals.

“According to this shop I’d say 3:50pm on a Sunday. Meals for a week and bbq for 12 people all sorted.”

This is because red sticker deals appear before closing time and the supermarket needs to shift extra stock.

The woman explained that she was going to fit everything she could into the freezer and then will use up the rest before it runs out of date.

Love Money has also shared some great hacks for those wanting to save money on their weekly shop.

The website explains: “Generally you don’t want to see red at the supermarket, but at Aldi we’ll make an exception. That’s because the store uses red stickers to flag up its big discounts, meaning the item is at least 50 percent off.

“So keep an eye out for red while you’re cruising the aisles and you may just pick up a stonking deal.

“These discount stickers tend to be dished out at the start of the day as part of a ‘secret hour’ ‒ which changes depending on the individual store -, rather than the end of the day as is the case with the big supermarket names, so if you really want to save you may need to pop down to your local Aldi early.”
