Anthony Joshua has been slammed for not social distancing at a music festival – but the boxer has denied breaking guidelines.

The heavyweight boxing champ was seen mingling in busy crowds at The Originals event.

The 30-year-old ring king also posed for selfies with fans at the £30-a-head bash.

One onlooker said: “Everyone was swarming around him. He is a role model, he should have been setting an example to everyone else.

“They must have thought if the heavyweight champion of the world is doing it, then we can too.”

Government guidelines are that people stay two metres apart while in public and at least a metre where that is not possible.

The Originals took place on Bank Holiday Monday at Colesdale Farm, near Potters Bar, Herts close to where the boxer lives in Watford.

The festival – which also offers VIP tables for six people for £240 including a private bar – said the safety of customers was paramount.

Acts included Pioneer, Supa D, Kismet, Feva, IC, Teaser, Kitty, Amor, Tippa and Cold Steps.
