“She married Nelson’s brother – William? When Nelson died at Trafalgar, he inherited the title and become the first Earl Nelson. 

“It is confusing! But the nice thing is, there is a direct link from your ancestors straight to you and this teapot,” he remarked. 

His attention then turned to the item in front of him and John added: “Let’s look at the teapot – here we have the anchor and the name of Nelson at the top and the date, 2nd of April which is the date of the battle of Copenhagen. 

“And you’ve got all these other battles, these dates would’ve been key to the history of Nelson’s victories. But probably the most important one is in the front there, that had just happened likely when he had been given this chinaware.”
