As many excited Battle Royale will already know, Apex Legends Season 5 kicks off in the coming days. This will mean an injection of new content, with new quests, map changes, and a fresh Battle Pass confirmed. And that’s without mentioning the new Legends characters that will be available to try out later this week. So when does Apex Legends Season 5 start and what do we know about the new content?
WHEN DOES APEX LEGENDS SEASON 5 START?
The Apex Legends Season 5 release date has been set for Tuesday, May 12, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The full name is Apex Legends Season 5 – Fortune’s Favor, and Respawn has promised that the new Legend: Loba, Season Quests, and the new Battle Pass will be the main draws.
The good news is that Apex Season 5 will be launching across all platforms at the same time as there is no exclusivity deal in place.
And Respawn has also confirmed that everyone will have access to the new content without needing to buy an Apex Legends Battle Pass.
Those that do will be able to earn new cosmetic rewards, with over 100 exclusive items including Legendary skins and Apex Packs.
Respawn has also confirmed that new Battle Pass content will be making its debut during Season 5.
Like in the past, the Battle Pass can only be purchased in the in-game store using Apex Coins.
It should also be noted that all cosmetic rewards (excluding Apex Packs and content dropped from them) in the Battle Pass are exclusive to Season 5 and will probably never be available again.
When it comes to cost, EA is not expected to push the Apex Legends Season 5 Battle Price higher.
This means that it should retail at around 950 Apex Coins for the basic version, with another battle pass bundle being offered for 2,800 Apex Coins.
So an Apex Legends Battle Pass for Season 5 is likely to cost you around £8 in the UK.
The Battle Pass is expected to include the usual XP Boost, which adds a 10% bonus to any Top 5 Finish score you earn.
