Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta gives blunt five-word reply to Mesut Ozil snub in Man City loss

Pablo Mari and Granit Xhaka were both replaced in the first 25 minutes after suffering injuries, with Arteta making full use of the five substitute rule.

One of those players he brought on, Luiz, was at fault for the first two goals, having set up Raheem Sterling’s opener by failing to clear a Kevin de Bruyne cross.

He then brought down Riyad Mahrez inside the area to give City a penalty on 51 minutes, receiving a red card for his troubles.

De Bruyne tucked away the penalty with ease, before Phil Foden added a late third as he tapped in from Sergio Aguero’s effort, which clipped off the post.
