Photographs taken by fans have appeared online, showing The Batman movie being filmed on the street. They show Pattinson on a motorbike as he starts filming on his first movie replacing Ben Affleck in the iconic role. They also show Farrell carrying Penguin’s ubiquitous umbrella. The Irish actor’s casting had been kept under wraps, but Reeves went public with the news today after the images surfaced and the penguin was out of the bag…
AS well as first looks at the two stars on set the images also reveal a new look for Penguin.
Farrells’ iteration has silver or possibly bleached hair.
The scenes shot show a busy street with Gotham City news vans outside the imposing doors to an official building. Perhaps a courthouse or corporation head office?

The scenes in London have been filmed in the very heart of the city in Westminster.
The buildings in the background are almost certainly opposite Westminster bridge and Parliament, across from Westminster Abbey.
They also show a very modern and rugged take on Bruce Wayne far away from the billionaire playboy disguise usual shown on screen.
If you click on the fourth image in the series directly above you will also see a full-length shot of Colin Farrell with Penguin’s umbrella.
The film is shaping up to be a major (yet another?) reinvention fro the iconic character.
As well as Pattinson and Farrell, Reeves has rounded up an impressive all-star cast.
Confirmed so far are Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.
But there are also two major names signed up to play the famous ever-loyal supporters of Batman.
