Ben Shephard, 45, uploaded three photos of wife Annie enjoying a martini while sitting by the riverside, as the new government Eat Out to Help Out scheme was introduced. The GMB host’s spouse looked radiant in a bright green shirt with a golden tan and painted red nails, as she posed for the candid portrait series.
Ben cheekily ribbed his wife of over 15 years as he claimed she had got “carried away” while sipping the fruity cocktail beverages.
He wrote alongside the pictures: “So me and @mrsannieshephard decided to #eatouttohelpout yesterday, which was a real treat.
“However Mrs S got carried away and thought the slogan was drink up to prop up, so she did.
“As you know she loves me taking pics and posting them – I have a feeling that’s her subtly giving me the finger.”

At the time Ben told the Mirror he chose to leave the show to spend more time with his family.
He told the publication: “My boys are at an age when they need me around, perhaps even more now than when they were younger.
“I was on GMTV every weekday while they were growing up. It meant I could go to their after-school matches, but I would have to be in bed by 7pm.
“It got to the point when it was they who tucked me up and read me a story, not the other way round.”
