supplements for high pressure – common to protect hypertension

Eating an unhealthy diet or not doing enough regular exercise could be raising your chances of high pressure.

But, you could lower your chances of developing the condition by taking supplements, scientists have claimed.

One of the easiest ways to high pressure is to regularly take C supplements, it’s been revealed.

C is an important antioxidant in all body tissues, and is needed for at least 300 metabolic reactions to work properly, including the production of collagen to maintain elastic arteries,” said nutritionist Dr Sarah Brewer.

She wrote on her website, MyLowerPressure.com: “It is also involved in the metabolism of stress hormones.

“New findings suggest that C is also involved in regulating levels of fibrinogen – a circulating protein that is involved in clotting.

“As C is a water-soluble , it cannot be stored in the body and a regular intake is essential.”

A C deficiency can lead to a number of medical conditions, not just hypertension, including scurvy.

But, if you prefer not to take supplements, you could also boost the amount of C in your diet by eating certain foods.

The sources of C include oranges, strawberries, broccoli, potatoes, and peppers.

Most people should get all of the C they need from their daily diet.
