Big Brother star Tully Smyth has dropped a bombshell about the hit reality show, revealing housemates hear from three narrators, while viewers only hear from one.

The 31-year-old, who appeared on Big Brother Australia 10, explained that contestants heard the voices of two men and a woman inside the house.

Speaking on podcast Mamamia last year, the reality star admitted there was a regular male voice, a “younger, hotter” male voice, and a female Big Brother.

When asked whether she had ever met Big Brother in person, Tully said: “Which one?

“There were a few and we met most of them at the wrap party, which was surreal.”

While Leon Murray is the main narrator for Aussie audiences, he worked on a shift rotation, with two other voice-artists taking over from him intermittently.

She went on: “There was also a “Hot Big Brother”, a.k.a. Pete Cunningham, who was definitely more flirty.

“I had a crush on him, which proved hilarious when I met him at the wrap party and found out he was gay!

“Finally, we had ‘Lady Big Brother’, who would work the weekend shift and wake us up with her silky smooth voice, telling us all about the sun shining and birds chirping.”

The show’s producer, Lisa Fardy, took on the role of the female Big Brother on the weekends, taking over from Pete and Leon.

Meanwhile, Marcus Bentley is the famous voice to the UK’s Big Brother, narrating the series from its 2000 inception until 2018.

The legendary voiceover artist revealed producers asked him to be “less Geordie” in the early days of the show, saying: “God I had the producers standing over me saying, ‘could you sound less Geordie please?'”

Admitting his accent had thickened over the years, he went on: “My voice sounds so different, as I had producers standing over me telling me to be more posh and I guess I was still developing my style.

Marcus added: “It was great to be me eventually.”
