Star witness to the current impeachment investigation by the far-left Rep. Adam Schiff, U.S. ambassador William Taylor, admitted behind a closed-door hearing that the New York Times was the only source for his allegations.

According to the New York Times, during his deposition, Taylor “described Rudolph W. Giuliani, personal lawyer for President Trump, as the instigator behind the push to get Ukraine’s president to launch probes into Mr. Trump’s political opponents, telling impeachment lawmakers last month that Mr. Giuliani is acting on behalf of the leader.”

The testimony “presented a president determined to enlist Ukraine to publicly undermine his political rivals, including former vice president Joseph R. Biden Jr.” According to Taylor himself, the New York Times came up with his idea that Giuliani wanted dirt from the Ukrainians.

The Western Journal reports:

“Would you like to tell us what your position is on it?” Zeldin asked Taylor. “What was the goal of requesting investigations into 2016 election and Burisma?”

“As I understand it from one of the — perhaps the report on Mr. Giuliani’s involvement in Burisma in The New York Times, in that article, he explains, and I believe he cites Giuliani at some length, the article indicates that Giuliani is interested in getting some information about Vice President Biden that would be useful to Mr. Giuliani’s company,” Taylor answered.

“I think that’s what he says. He says he’s got one client, and he’s useful to the client.”

Witness to the star? Taylor said in deposit that he claimed that POTUS wanted Ukraine to investigate the involvement of Ukrainians in the 2016 campaign, and Burisma was just about getting dirt on Biden. He later admitted to me that his only source of information was … waiting for it … The NY Times.
