Corbynistas in London appeared to be reluctant to accept Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn will soon be replaced by his party members as the leader of the Opposition. Some on social media claimed the “Oh Jeremy Corbyn” chant was being sung during the London Eye fireworks display in the capital, sending Twitter into chaos this morning as videos began to emerge on social media. The reaction was lambasted by anti-Labour users who accused Corbyn supporters of being “brainwashed”.
One Twitter user wrote: “It’s disturbing to watch people being brainwashed, by the #OhJeremyCorbyn cult.
“Corbyn has lost three elections in a row. The man is a loser, a has-been and will never be our PM.
“If people can’t accept that, I suggest they seek out a therapist for their mental health issues.”
And another: “If you’ve been affected by last night’s #OhJeremyCorbyn incident, advice can be found on the below helpline. Alternatively, relevant health teams can be contacted by owl, raven, smoke signal,or by hanging a hammer & sickle flag from the balcony of your mother’s London penthouse.”

A third joked: “#OhJeremyCorbyn is trending because a few fans chanted it at London’s fireworks display.
“I suppose he deserves it after being the leading number one reason for Lab’s worst election defeat since 1935, decimating Lab safe seats & making 10 years of Tory rule very likely. Top man.”
Posting a photo of the UK map with the results of the December 2019 general election, one user wrote: “You still don’t get it, do you. Twitter hashtags and chants in London doesn’t represent the 67 million people across the UK.
“Corbyn was rejected virtually everywhere outside a couple of cities. This map will remind you.”
