Another weekly update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare is scheduled to arrive in the coming days across all platforms, and based on recent weeks, there’s a good chance of the new patch hitting servers on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. There’s been plenty of playlist changes in Warzone in May and it appears this next patch will provide the same in MW multiplayer.
Developers Infinity Ward has confirmed that this week’s Modern Warfare update will add a new Operator, launch Gunfight 3v3 Knives Only, as well as expand what’s on offer in Demolition Mode.
Iskra, an Urzikstani native, returns to Verdansk with the Chimera Faction to stop the growing Al-Qatala threat. The new operator will be available to purchase from the Store as part of a bundle, which also includes two new Legendary weapons and the ‘Savagery’ helicopter vehicle skin.
The new 3v3 Gunfight Knives Only playlist checks the firepower at the door in favour of a leaner and lethal loadout. COd fans will be able to Throw, melee, or use a Finishing Move to win six rounds and claim victory.
Meanwhile, Shoot the Rusty Ship 24/7 playlist will see gamers battle across these distinct locales in objective and deathmatch modes.
Not so much has been announced for COD Warzone this week, although there could be other bug fixes deployed. As reported earlier this year, Call of Duty fans have noticed issues with the Ghost perk when reviewing kill cams.
This includes seeing blips appearing on them before being taken down, leading some to believe the perk is not working.
Infinity Ward has provided feedback on the situation, telling fans that Ghost is functioning but an issue with the kill cam could make you think differently.
A message from the development team adds: “Ghost not protecting against Heartbeat Sensor – This is working as intended but showing incorrectly in the killcams. A fix for the killcam is coming in a future update.”
It should be noted that no fixed release date has been set for this fix so fans will need to keep an eye out for it in the next round of patch notes.
If the next Call of Duty update is a small patch, Activision may choose to release its latest COD changes at around 6pm, GMT.
However, the larger the update, the more likely Activision will look to release it at a quieter time, meaning it will be more likely to arrive at around 7am GMT, the following morning.
Fans are also waiting to find out if Call of Duty Warzone Duos will be arriving soon on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
