In the emotional clip that was filmed at Clarence House, the Duchess urges Britons to take care of their bone health during the pandemic.

Reflecting on how her mother and grandmother were treated for the condition Camilla said: “In those dark old days it was seldom discussed, rarely diagnosed and usually attributed to old women with so-called ‘dowager’s humps’.

“My family and I knew nothing about it and were at a loss to know how we could help alleviate the terrible pain she suffered.

“But how times have changed – today huge strides have been made in the treatment and research into osteoporosis, and we now know how it can be prevented and how we can support those who are living with it.”

The Duchess added: “We know it is vital to eat the right food, to take regular and weight-bearing exercise and, so importantly, to educate young people as to how to look after their bone health.

“It has, of course, been more challenging to get out and about this year, but we must all ensure, for the sake of our bones, that we stay as active as possible, even in the midst of a pandemic.”

The Duchess has been president of the Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) since 2001.

Body language expert and author Judi James analysed the clip for Express.co.uk and shared her findings.

According to Judi, Camilla’s sadness is obvious as she speaks and reflected by her “weary” tone.

The analyst said: “Speaking about a cause that is, in royal terms, very much her own, Camilla’s rather sad and even weary-sounding delivery here seems to illustrate her very personal experiences with Osteoporosis.

“Her brows are puckered in concern, and there is no trace of the usual warm, happy eye-smile smile that the Duchess tends to use regularly.”

According to Judi, the Duchess also seems to mirror some of her husband Prince Charles’ body language in the clip including his signature “grimace or wince of concern.”

Judi added: “Camilla’s expression could be connected to worry about both this cause and the current pandemic, but there are signs of her usual performer nerves here, too.

“Her eyes seem to be fixed on her autocue and one hand gesture that looks intended for emphasis is truncated and turned into a nervous pulling of her jacket instead.

“There is a more kindly eye expression as she adopts a nurturing role, raising her brows to tell sufferers to ‘eat the right food’ and ‘be as active as possible.’”

“But as she adds ‘even in the midst of a pandemic’ the corner of her mouth twists upwards in the kind of grimace or wince of concern that her husband is known for.”

Camilla and Prince Charles are future heads of the Royal Family with Charles expected to take the throne after Queen Elizabeth II.

The question of Camilla’s title when Charles takes the crown is subject to speculation.

At the time of their 2005 wedding, Clarence House confirmed Camilla would be known as Princess Consort and not Queen Consort when Charles is Queen.

As it was felt this title was more respectful to the memory of Prince Charles’s late wife Princess Diana.

However, despite Clarence House’s statement the decision of what to call Camilla will ultimately lie with Charles when takes the throne.

Camilla has grown in the British public’s estimation in recent years and it seems increasingly possible that she could become Queen Consort.
