An image showing an apparently blood-soaked bed inside Caroline Flack’s house was shared by The Sun yesterday. Her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, 27, took to Instagram to deny the photo was his blood, following the alleged assault.
It’s now been claimed the apparent blood is actually Caroline’s and not from her boyfriend after she suffered an injury when she “smashed a glass”.
A source told The Sun: “There is heaps of blood, but it’s not all from Lewis.
“Most of it was from Caroline’s injury after she smashed a glass and she was bleeding quite a lot from that.
“Things got very out of hand and no one is denying that. But Lewis was not the only one who was bleeding so it’s important to keep that in mind.”

Lewis vehemently denied the blood sprayed on the bed was his, as he branded Caroline as “f*****g harmless”.
The model shared the pouter to his Instagram stories and commented: “Bull***t this isn’t my blood and I didn’t get hit over the head with a lamp. Can everyone stop now?”
He then uploaded a photo of him with Caroline, writing: “I love this girl more than anything, no one knows what’s going on or what’s happened.
“She’s f***ing harmless and the most amazing person I have ever met.”
“To say I’m excited to be heading to Cape Town to host Love Island, the biggest show on television, is an understatement,” she said.
Laura continued: “I want to thank ITV for trusting me at the helm of this huge show. I wish it was in better circumstances; Caroline is a brilliant host and friend.
“We’ve spoken a lot in the last few days since she stepped down. She has been very kind to me and strongly pushed me for this role. I’ve watched her host every series and know I have big boots to fill. I will try and do it justice.”
She went on: “Above all, I am a massive fan of this show. I’ve never been to a Love Island villa, and I can’t wait to get in there to meet all the new islanders looking for love.
