Wheeler Dealers claim that E10 fuel panic is due to ‘communication errors’

According to him, updates about the changes for motorists had been very poor and have since scared drivers. He stated that some motorists had not heard of the petrol until two weeks before it was launched on forecourts. This has raised questions.

Rachel Maclean, DfT spokesperson, said that the campaign will target “millions” of motorists at launch.

She stated that the campaign would not only inform drivers about the changes being made, but also make millions of motorists aware of how E10 introduces a role in helping to reduce carbon emissions and create a cleaner environment with each tank of petrol.

Two-thirds (65%) of those surveyed agreed that there should be an extensive campaign before E10 is launched.

Road users supported running a television campaign along with a radio service in order to reach more motorists.

“We must look that way. We will never go in the opposite direction.

“People must get involved with it and purchase into it.

It won’t change anything about the classic car or car industry.

Drivers can save hundreds of dollars with electric vehicle smart charging. This is a ‘desperately required’ feature.

An electric vehicle can be a great way to save money, with a grant from the Government for low emission vehicles and lower tax rates. Ofgem is the Government’s energy regulator and has invested PS300million in over 200 low-carbon projects. This will make Britain more ready to use electric heat transport.

He stated that Ofgem’s support was crucial.

Smart charging is possible from all perspectives today, technologically, commercially, and regulatory.

The electric car revolution is moving faster than ever before. The pace of the change for 2021 is exciting even for people who have worked in this industry for years.

It is safe to say that 2021 feels like the year electric cars became mainstream. UK drivers now know how to best’refuel’ their vehicle.

The UK will benefit from vehicle-to-grid technology. EVs can be converted into large, distributed batteries while they’re parked at their home.

Electricity will become cheaper for drivers, so they can use it to purchase electricity and then sell it at a higher price. Drivers will also be able plug their cars into their vehicle to make money and sleep while charging it.

Charlie Cook said, “Smart charging is a problem. We are working with some of the UK’s biggest automotive companies to address that issue by bringing EV friendly energy tariffs and smart charging advice into UK showrooms.”

Vehicle-to-grid faces more challenging challenges than ever before, but we are certain that they will overcome. Vehicle-to-grid must have lower costs and more value.

There is an easy way to reduce the price of a bi-directional charger in a car.

We are certain that Ofgem will support smart charging and vehicle to-grid adoption.

This will increase adoption of electric cars.

BMW M2 CS receives the Vintage 501 wheels by HRE WHEELS

The BMW M2 CS, for me, is the most beautiful small coupe that you can purchase, regardless of price. It is muscular and short. Its wheel design is one of its best features. M Performance Parts is selling the killer gold BMW wheels, which are some of the most modern on any BMW. If you plan to replace your wheels, make sure you get some truly stunning ones. HRE Wheels is a great company that knows what it’s doing.

These photos show that they replaced the M2 CS stock wheels with a pair of HRE Vintage 501 wheels, in Brushed Gold. The wheels also have a Polished Clear exterior barrel. For me, form is more important than function. I prefer smaller wheels with chunkier sidewalls for greater performance. But these Vintage 501s have me in awe.

Photos @hre_wheels @rickgart @linhbergh

These wheels are called Vintage for a reason. They look just like the classic wheels that were used on vintage sports cars in the 1970s and 1980s. The 501s don’t exist just to be a showpiece. Although their three-piece design isn’t as suitable for heavy track usage as Monoblocks, it is strong enough to withstand canyon blasts as well as fast driving. These are made of aerospace-grade 6061T6 forged aluminum with high-strength stainless fasteners. They are as stylish and strong as they look.

Brushed gold is also the best finish, no matter what car you drive. C’mon. Take a look at them. They contrast well with the Misano Blue M2CS paint. The car, wheel design and finish are all great.

Sinclair C5: The history of Sir Clive Sinclair’s electric car

In 1985, the Sinclair C5 was launched with an incredible level of hype. However, this invention of Britain’s top tech entrepreneurs collapsed spectacularly shortly after its launch.

Sir Clive died at the age 81 on September 16, 2021. His death was publicly announced. This tech mogul was passionate about electric transportation and started Sinclair Vehicles, a company he founded in 1983 after his commercial success.

Sinclair C5, a three-wheeler designed by Lotus and manufactured in Merthyr Tidfil, was the company’s first production vehicle. In January 1985, the C5 was unveiled in London. The project quickly fell apart.

The C5 was powered by a 12-volt lithium-ion battery. It had a range of 20 miles, enough for many commuters. However, it could travel only 15 mph. Other disadvantages included a lack or any type of weatherproofing. Additionally, the C5’s low-built and recumbent driving position made it vulnerable to traffic and left drivers feeling vulnerable.

The C5 was equipped with pedals to help overcome range anxiety, a term that hadn’t yet been invented. It also had handlebar steering to indicate its intended purpose. Sinclair suggested the C5 to combine a bike and a car, but it proved unappealing for both users.

The C5 didn’t help to transform Britain’s motoring scene. Instead, it was mocked in the media, and made into a joke. Safety organizations and reviewers deemed the low-slung EV dangerous. The C5 was also ridiculed for a number of apparent failings.

Sinclair had hoped for a series EVs, including bigger spin-offs of the C5 that could reach speeds of 80 mph. But the signs were not in his favor. After the C5 was launched production was stopped and Comet tried to sell off unsold C5s at PS139.99, a significant discount from the original PS400 price. Sinclair Vehicles was also bankrupt that year.

Today, only historians and collectors are interested in the Sinclair C5, however the Sinclair C5 and Sir Clive, its farsighted inventor, represent a key chapter in electric vehicle history.

“Individual Responsibility”: Caravan law reforms are causing drivers to be more cautious about road safety.

These changes will take effect before 2021. Anyone with a full driving license will now be allowed to drive a caravan or trailer without having to pass an additional test. Before January 1, 1997, anyone who had passed their car driving exam could tow a trailer or vehicle up to 8250kg in maximum allowed mass (MAM).

It takes more work to move off and slower, and stopping, bending, and turning take longer. So drivers need to be careful.

For example, many trailers, horseboxes and caravans are larger than towing vehicles. Therefore, drivers need extra attention when positioning their vehicle on the road.

This applies especially when you pull over beside kerbs, enter toll booths, or refill at petrol stations.

Also, allow extra space for bends when trailers turn corners.

GEM encourages drivers to plan ahead for traffic.

You won’t be able to stop quickly with a fully loaded trailer so make sure you have plenty of room.

It is important that drivers be aware of speed limits when towing. However, it is also crucial to remember that towing vehicles are prohibited from the right-hand lane on motorways with more than three lanes.

It can be challenging to reverse with a caravan. Drivers are advised not to slow down and stay steady.

For drivers to practice their skills and learn from mistakes, they should locate a large empty space or parking lot.

Drivers must move their wheels in the opposite direction as if they were turning the vehicle with the trailer.

Neil Worth, chief executive of GEM, urged all drivers to remember safety when towing.

He stated that removing the test would raise safety concerns. However, we believe individual responsibility should be a higher priority for each driver towing.

Before we set off in a trailer, we need to be sure we understand what’s going on.

For example, what happens if you are driving on narrow roads and have to turn around? Is it possible to encounter crosswinds and strong winds? Is the trailer unstable or starts to snake behind you?

Additionally, caravan owners often use their trailers or caravans less frequently so it is important to make sure the trailer is road-worthy. Also, check load distribution, brakes, lights and couplings.

The AA warns that petrol drivers are “paying through their nozzle” since E10 fuel change launches.

Luke Bosdet (AA’s Fuel Price Spokesman) stated that E10’s lower fuel efficiency means more fuel was being sold at petrol stations. The AA cautioned that forecourts are not yet passing savings on to customers.

According to the AA, E10 fuel launched did result in a small drop in wholesale petrol prices.

Retailers continue to charge higher prices for their customers despite saving 1.5p per gallon more under the old compound.

Bosdet stated: “We know now that switching to E10 petrol (10% ethanol) on September 1st saw wholesale petrol prices drop by over 4p per liter overnight.

However, Hurricane Ida’s lasting impact on southern USA’s oil production and oil prices caused the oil price to rise from $66 per barrel the third week in August to $73 by September.

The AA reports that petrol prices have risen eight years in a row since the launch of the new fuel.

Motorists were charged an average of 135.51p per gallon on Sunday morning. This is the highest rate since September 2013.

The AA also warns petrol retailer and supplier margins that their fuel prices have risen to the highest level since November.

The average diesel price in the UK was also up slightly with rates at 136.80p.

It would cost around PS1 to fill a 50-litre tank of fuel.

According to the Government report, E10 gasoline has slightly less energy than other fuels. This could mean that drivers will need to top up their tanks more frequently.

Older models owners will also be paying more for their cars due to the change.

The E5 grade of fuel is available now in the pricey Super Unleaded.

Vertu Motors experts have stated that this is causing prices to rise up to PS6 for a 55-litre tank.

The new 2022 Ford Fiesta ST faceslift features a fresh look and increased torque

The Ford Fiesta ST, small hatchbacks that are hot and compact has been under fire recently from the Hyundai i20N. The new facelift brings with it a slew of cosmetic and performance tweaks to help the blue oval defeat its Korean counterpart.

The revised Ford Fiesta ST starts at PS22,630. This means it is cheaper than the Hyundai i20N by PS2,365. The Ford Fiesta ST is available for order right now with the first deliveries expected to be in early 2019.

The turbocharged 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine of the ST provides additional performance. The car now has a 30Nm more torque which increases its peak power to 320Nm. The power remains the same at 197bhp. However, the sprint to 0-62mph takes a similar 6.5 seconds. Therefore, the torque increase is more focused on mid-range than off-the line power.

The drive is transmitted to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. This can also be equipped with an optional mechanical limited slip differential. Ford claims the Quaife will give the hot hatchback more control and improve its cornering abilities.

Revisions to styling include new front bumpers, bolt-on chin spoilers, larger honeycomb radiator grilles, and Matrix led headlights. Ford also included Mean Green in the Fiesta ST’s colour palette. This is the same shade that we saw first on the Puma ST.

Other styling elements of Fiesta ST are largely the same, and buyers get the same deep side skirts as before. However, the rear diffuser has been repainted in a body colour, and the vents of this car are finished in Crystalline Grey.

Recaro’s previous model’s seats were replaced with new in-house models. They are adjustable in 14 ways and have been trimmed in Sensico synthetic skin leather. You’ll also find a bit more carbon-effect trim, and a flat-bottomed steering column.

Ford’s Sync3 infotainment software is available to buyers as before. It can be operated via an 8-inch touchscreen located on the dashboard. As standard, both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available.

DVSA warns that new caravan rules could affect car insurance policies for drivers.

The DVSA will examine amending rules that allow drivers of cars to transport heavy caravans or trailers, without the need to pass an extra test. The DVSA asked car insurers to examine how new rules might affect drivers in its latest consultation on new rule changes.

We recognize that we wouldn’t be able mandate this requirement, so that road safety standards are maintained and that some training programs can be financially viable.

These new suggestions are intended to free examiners to tackle the huge backlog in driving test takers.

Currently, the DVSA conducts more than 30,000 trailer and car B+E tests per year.

The DVSA stated that there was an increase in capacity due to the pandemic.

After being open since August’s beginning, the consultation ended on September 7, just over one week after it had been closed.

Within three months after the closing of the consultation, a summary of all responses will be made public.

According to the DVSA, this document will contain details about next steps and whether or not rules are changed so that car drivers can tow trailers with no need for a permit.
