Zoflora is a popular disinfectant spray that comes in multiple different scents. It is loved by many, including cleaning guru Mrs Hinch who uses it to clean multiple items around her home. It claims to kill 99.9 percent of germs and it also has a lovely fresh fragrant smell that can leave the home smelling fresh for hours. However it can also be used outside and experts at Zoflora have revealed how.
Zoflora say: “Even in outdoor areas, Zoflora can be used to keep things safe and fresh! Whilst most people will be quite on top of cleaning in their home, the areas outside can be easily forgotten.”
Not only will cleaning your patio remove germs, it will also be left looking clean and dirt free.
Zoflora explains how the patio is a high traffic area, especially if you have pets.
They say: “Scrubbing down patio surfaces will not only remove germs and animal dirt, but it will also restore fragrant freshness.
“To mop it, simply add 4 capfuls of Zoflora into a bucket filled with 1.5L of water and pour the solution over your patio. Use a hard bristle yard brush to scrub down.”

Patio furniture is often overlooked when it comes to cleaning, but they accumulate all sorts of germs and dust particles through the different seasons.
Outdoor tables, chairs and garden furniture all need to be cleaned on a regular basis.
Zoflora explains: “They can also become breeding grounds for bacteria brought by visiting birds and insects.
“To wipe it, soak a cloth in diluted Zoflora, adding 1 capful Zoflora per 400ml of water, then use it to wipe down all the surfaces and areas you want to disinfect.”
Zoflora recommends cleaning drains to eliminate bad odours and kill bacteria and viruses at the same time with Zoflora.
They say: “To soak it, simply pour 2 capfuls of neat Zoflora disinfectant straight down the drain to kill the bacteria that can cause unpleasant odours.”
Using this disinfectant will not only keep the drains clean, it will also keep them smelling fresh for hours.
Wheelie bins have been identified as high risk hotspots for infection, carrying up to three times the acceptable level of bacteria.

Zoflora recommends cleaning them every two weeks to eliminate germs and to help avoid bin odour.
They say: “To clean it, simply dilute 4 capfuls of your choice of Zoflora disinfectant into 1.5L of water and pour the solution into your bin.
“Use a long-handled brush or mop to scrub down. Don’t forget to wipe the lid, handles and outside of the bin with a cloth or sponge soaked in diluted Zoflora. When the job is done, pour the dirty solution down the drain.”
Keeping children safe and shielded from germs is usually among the top priorities for home hygiene and therefore cleaning their outdoor playing equipment should be no different.

Zoflora explains how it should be cleaned more during the summer months as this is when it is used more.
They say: “To clean it, simply dilute 4 capfuls of your choice of Zoflora fragrance in a bucket containing 1.5L of warm water, soak your cloth in the solution and wipe down all play apparatus surfaces, killing harmful bacteria and adding a fresh smell. Leave surfaces to dry completely before allowing children to play.”
However you should always read the instructions before using Zoflora and it should be diluted 1:40 in water before use.
When correctly used, you can also use the disinfectant where most pets are kept.
