Coronation Street spoilers: Ken Barlow rocked by heartbreaking news from loved one? 1

Ken Barlow (played by William Roache) is currently enjoying life on the cobbles with partner Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska) as the worried father continues to look out for Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). Last year was tough for the family as Ken, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) watched Daniel struggle to cope with Sinead Tinker’s (Katie McGlynn) death. However, things may be about to get a lot worse for the Coronation Street stalwart.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk at the Women In Film and TV Awards, Claudia star Rula hinted there could be trouble in paradise for her character and Ken.

Ken and Claudia have been enjoying each other’s company for over a year but actress Rula has teased a “big storyline” which could see the end of the couple.

Rula began: “I’m not sure how much I’m allowed to say because there’s some big storylines coming up at the beginning of [this] year.”

She explained Claudia and Ken have their differences despite being in a relationship on the ITV soap.

Rula teased: “That’s what I would like to see I become a sort of surrogate grandmother and to see another side of Claudia, a warming more caring side.

“She’s done a lot for the Barlow family, she put Peter through rehab, she offered to pay for Sinead and Daniel to go to venice which didn’t work out.”

“But she’s a generous soul with some catty lines to say,” Rula added. “Basically she’s a good person.”

Rula originally joined the ITV soap in 2009 before leaving in 2011 and then returning in 2018.
