Britain Connects is an exciting project that plans to build on new-found spirit of national pride, using this extraordinary time to virtually connect people from across the country with different views for a conversation. The ground-breaking project launched jointly by the Daily Express and the Daily Mirror that asks strangers to meet for a virtual chat as we face the COVID-19 pandemic together.
The aim is to speak to someone you might not usually meet, to find out what they are like and explore what our nation has in common, whatever our political or other differences. All you need to do is fill in this simple questionnaire – we’ll do the rest!
Here’s how it works:
1. We’ll match you with your Britain Connects partner by Tuesday 19th May. We’ll send you an email with details of your partner and how you can connect with them online. We won’t share any of your contact information with your partner. If you decide you’d rather not meet, you can let us know.
2. We’ll invite you to connect with your partner for a conversation online between 22nd and 24th May. We’ll send you and your partner a meeting date and time. Joining the conversation will be simple: you’ll just have to click the link we sent you to join a video call with your partner via your computer, tablet or smartphone.
So JOIN BRITAIN CONNECTS NOW and ‘meet’ someone with a different world view.
