Below is a round-up of the most exciting storylines on next week’s Corrie – with a few surprises in store.
Daniel is conflicted
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) is left feeling guilty after his evening with Nicky and lies to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) about his whereabouts.
Adam starts to worry about Daniel when he hears the grieving widower has picked up some extra-strong lager from the shop.
Meanwhile, Daniel heads to a hotel room to meet Nicky for an illicit liaison.
When he arrives, Daniel’s feelings of guilt become too much, and he tells Nicky their hook-up was a mistake, and he regrets calling her.
In a tender moment, he starts to open up about his wife Sinead Tinker, telling Nicky how much he misses her, and reflecting on the loneliness he has felt since her death.
Could Daniel’s connection with Nicky grow to become something bigger?
Shona makes a move
Shona’s care worker Aaron brings her to Roy Cropper’s apartment, introducing her to Nina (Mollie Gallagher) and opening up about her need for routine.
Daniel calls by with magazines and is later inspired to invite Shona out for something to eat in the hopes of rekindling their relationship.
Shona starts to panic in the bistro and decides they would be better off heading to the chippie instead.
When Shona nicks Ray Crosby’s wallet, David is left in stitches and explains that is how they met.
Later, Gemma Winter (Dolly Rose Campbell) tells Shona about her relationship with David, revealing they were happily married before the horrific accident tampered with her memories.
Taking action, Shona invites David to the flat, much to his delight.
However, things take a turn when Shona suddenly makes a move on him and suggests they have sex – leaving David concerned things are moving too quickly.
Are Shona and David on the road to recovering their marriage?
Leanne’s anguish continues
Concerned about Leanne’s wellbeing, Tracy manages to persuade her to head out on a trip to a petting zoo with little Oliver.
Though Leanne is initially anxious, the trip proves a great success, with Nick, Steve, Tracy, Simon, Emma and Amy coming along to keep her company.
Leanne is overjoyed when Oliver spots some cows and makes a mooing noise, offering a glimpse of his old self to his thrilled parents.
Later, Steve tries to organise a family trip to Cornwall, though Leanne feels it could threaten little Ollie’s health.
The worried parents head to the doc to see whether Ollie’s feeding tube can be removed, with Leanne fearing more bad news from the doctor.
Will Leanne and Steve manage to take little Ollie away on holiday?
Carla raises her suspicions
Celebrating VE Day, Carla starts decking out the Rovers Return in honour of the occasion – only to be reminded of the incident with Jordan and Chelsey.
Thanking Scott for his help in chucking them out of the boozer, he reveals Abi is the one who truly deserves Carla’s thanks.
Carla buys Abi a bottle of wine to show her appreciation, with Abi consoling her by admitting she also has a few secrets she would rather keep hidden.
In the shop, Carla spots the headline of the Gazette – concerning the assault of two people in a local estate – and wonders if Peter is behind the deed.
Later, she confronts Peter about the newspaper headline, though he instantly denies any involvement in the crime.
Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) raises a glass in honour of VE Day in the pub, giving Carla a moment to calm her nerves.
Listening to Peter’s explanation, she believes him when he insists he was attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting when the attacks took place.
If Peter is innocent, who assaulted the threatening strangers from Carla’s past?
Seb makes a confession
After weeks of tension, Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) finally confesses he has feelings for Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu), but an unexpected arrival from Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) spoils the mood.
Alina eventually admits she shares the same feelings for Seb, but they both decide to remain friends for Emma’s sake.
Later, the duo head to the pub for some friendly drinks, determined to keep things cordial and to avoid any romance.
Will Seb and Alina manage to resist temptation?
