Disney fans will finally be able to view the new epic Mulan movie from next month but only if they are prepared to pay a premium. This latest live-action movie will be available via the £5.99 per month Disney+ streaming service but sadly that price won’t include instant access to this latest blockbuster.
Instead, fans will need to fork out an extra £19.99 via something called Premier Access. That may sound pretty expensive but Disney says that price includes the option to watch the film as many times as you want and download it on devices, such as smartphones and tablets, so it can be viewed away from your main TV.
It’s also worth noting that this is only way to watch this new film as it’s exclusively available to Disney+ subscribers and nobody else.
You’ll also receive the content in full Ultra HD and HDR quality plus there’s sound via Dolby Audio.
Mulan will be available from September 4 with Disney confirming that existing Disney+ subscribers can get Premier Access to Mulan for a single additional fee paid directly on DisneyPlus.com. It will also be offered via in-app billing on select platforms, including Apple, Google, and Roku.
If you’re new to the concept of Disney+ then this service launched earlier this year and offers subscribers to the chance to watch content for a small monthly fee.
For that money, you get access to films in the Star Wars saga and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It also collates shows and films from Pixar, Disney animation and National Geographic.
In fact, you’ll find over 500 blockbuster films as part of the subscription.
There’s also a bunch of shows, cartoons and exclusive content including Star Wars: The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and The World according to Jeff Goldblum plus there’s access to all of the Simpsons series and content from National Geographic.
Since its launch, the service has seen rapid growth with figures from the media company revealing that it now has 50 million paid subscribers globally.
