Anthony Scaramucci told TimesRadio that the fact President Donald Trump is unsure whether he is willing to accept the outcome of the 2020 election is an atrocity. Ayesha Hazarika asked the US political commentator if Donald Trump would try to stay in the White House even if he loses the US election.
Mr Scaramucci said: “I believe that anyone who knows him and his personality believes that.
“So yes, I do believe that.
“The good news is that the Secret Service and the US Marine Core who guard the 18-acre White House compound have already met and discussed who is going to be pulling him out of there.”
He continued: “It is a disgusting thing that we are even talking about it.
Donald Trump has been the US President since 2016
Donald Trump will take on Joe Biden in the 2020 US election
“Whatever you thought of Obama or George W. Bush I do not think anyone questioned that they recognised that power in the United States for the last 244 years has been transferred peacefully.
“At the end of an election whoever has won the election when counting all the mail ballots which has been consistent with our democracy since the postal service existed would be what we abide by.
“The fact that he is sitting there at the White House podium as the US President and suggesting ‘we will have to see what happens’ and he is not necessarily sure he will be willing to accept it is an atrocity.”
Mr Scaramucci’s comments were referring to Trump remarks during a press conference at the White House earlier this week.
Addressing President Trump a reporter asked: “Will you commit to a peaceful transfer of power after the election?”
He replied: “Well, we’re going to have to see what happens.”
In response the journalist, Brian J. Karem, accused the president of advocating civil war on Twitter.

Mr Karem, the White House correspondent from Playboy, tweeted: “This is the most frightening answer I have ever received to any question I have ever asked.
“I’ve interviewed convicted killers with more empathy.
“Donald Trump is advocating civil war.”
President Trump has repeatedly alleged, without providing evidence, that the presidential election could be rigged by his Democratic rivals using mail-in ballots.
