EastEnders resident Whitney Dean (played by Shona McGarty) has been left in fear over stalker Leo King (Tom Wells) after it was revealed he was the son of abusive Tony King (Chris Coghill). However, could someone else come to her aid as Leo’s behaviour is set to get worse?
Viewers have seen Whitney afraid to leave the house after Leo has continued to follow her around Walford and make her life as difficult as possible.
Earlier this month, she finally plucked up the courage to go to the police after Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) and husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) urged her to report him.
The market stall-holder was left deflated after the police insisted they were unable to do anything to help.
However, it seems there could be a lifeline in the form of ex-husband Lee Carter (Danny-Boy Hatchard), who seemed to give Whitney a much-needed confidence boost this evening.

Tonight, Whitney finally came face-to-face with her ex-husband Lee for the first time since the pair divorced.
Viewers have been delighted to see Lee Carter back on the Square in recent episodes, after coming to mum Linda’s (Kellie Bright) aid on Christmas Eve.
However, Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) informed a less than impressed Whitney: “Lee’s back, I thought you should know.”
After a frosty start, the pair finally got the chance to talk about the past and Lee explained how much Whitney “still” meant to him – what might he be prepared to do to protect her?
Opening up about why he left, Lee told her: “I was sick, depression, I know that doesn’t make it right but I wanted to explain the way that I treated you, you didn’t deserve that, no one deserves that.
“I was so ill Whit, I didn’t know what I was doing,” he insisted.
However, Whitney quickly hit back, saying: “Sounds a little bit like an excuse to me, just another bloke treating me like dirt, now you’re asking me to care.
“I’m sorry but it is the truth, the reason I didn’t come and see you was because I was scared… it would mean the world to me if maybe one day if you can forgive me, you meant a lot to me, you still do,” he told her.

Unlucky-in-love Whitney warmed to her ex-partner this evening and explained her ordeal with Leo in recent weeks.
Later on, Lee finally encouraged Whitney to leave the house to go to the 80s themed New Year’s Eve party at E20.
She turned up to the Vic dressed as Madonna as the pair set off for a night of fun, but with Leo never far away, danger could be in store for Whitney.
Lee is sure to still be protective of his ex-wife after admitting how much he cared for her this evening – could he go to great lengths in order to look keep her safe?
