The country also offers a wealth of historical artefacts, including the Amphitheatre of El Jem – the biggest amphitheatre outside of Rome.
Meanwhile, a generous exchange rate between the pound and local currency the Tunisian dinar is an attractive asset for Britons hoping to get the most for their travel money.
The country is already welcoming back tourists, with the latest figures from the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism seeing a 17 percent increase on the previous year.
