Emmerdale fans couldn’t believe their eyes tonight when Lydia Hart underwent a transformation for some saucy role play.

In the first of the “lockdown” special episodes, the half-hour instalment followed Lydia (Karen Blick) and Sam Dingle (James Hooton) throughout the quarantine period.

Newlywed Lydia dressed up as a blonde bank manager for her hubby Sam, trying to spice things up during the lockdown.

With a honey-blonde wig, specs and a fitted pencil skirt, the Emmerdale favourite looked completely different after the makeover.

In an effort to seduce Sam, Lydia revealed she had borrowed a few items from Charity Dingle’s wardrobe, helping her to get into character.

And a third chimed: “Sam and Lydia have a bit of fun with roleplay!”

Trying to channel a financial expert in a bank, Lydia quizzed Sam about applying for a loan, saying: “I understand you want to borrow a sum of money to start your own business, is that correct?”

She then ordered: “Sit down.”

At one point, she even twirled a pen in her mouth, trying her best to play the part successfully.

In a false accent, she continued: “Farming is a notoriously volatile endeavour Mr Dingle. I fear you’d burn through the money very quickly.”

Turning into a full-blown seductress, Lydia then ordered: “Get up them stairs!”

Clearly impressed by the sultry transformation, Sam demanded: “Bring that wig!”

Racing each other up the stairs, the lovebirds made it clear the time spent in lockdown has changed their marriage for the better.

Emmerdale airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm.
