Emmerdale‘s Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) looks set to finally find love again after his husband Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) called off their marriage and broke his heart.
Robert ended their marriage earlier this year after being sent to prison for life for murdering his sister Victoria’s rapist, landing a 14 year minimum stint behind bars.
In a recent episode, Aaron was stunned to receive a letter from Robert, as he apologised for cutting him off.
But it looks like Aaron will finally move on from his ex when he is met by a blast from his past, according to the Sun.
He is set to run into Ben, a man he bullied in school for being gay, just as he arrives in the village.
A source told the publication: “Aaron wasn’t always the Aaron fans have grown to love – as a teenager he was completely different.
“Ben will force him to confront what happened in school and sparks could fly between them.
“It’s going to be a dramatic and explosive storyline full of twists and turns.
“There’s the potential that Aaron and Ben could develop into something more – but viewers will have to wait to see how it plays out.”
Could Aaron finally find the one after having his heart broken?
Viewers were devastated when Aaron and Robert suddenly broke up earlier this year when Robert found he was being transferred to the Isle of Wight.
Aaron has embarked on a number of one night stands since the split, but had been struggling to move past the break-up.
In his lockdown special with his uncle Cain Dingle, (Jeff Hordley) the pair both realised they were still hung up on their exes, and decided they needed to move on.
But Cain has realised he is still in love with his ex Moira, who cheated on him with his son Nate Robinson.
Will the pair be able to work things out?
Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7pm on ITV.
