Flights: What holidaymakers should now do with baggage in coronavirus warning

However, according to Greg Poland, a professor of medicine and infectious diseases at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, you won’t need to go as far as disinfecting your whole bag, reported the Washington Post.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issues advice for baggage handlers.

“While the general risk remains low, potential sources of exposure could include surfaces touched or handled by a person with COVID-19 or by touching your mouth, nose, or eyes,” the CDC’s website states.
