The Fortnite Season 3 release date has been set for June 11, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mobile.
But Epic Games has been keeping its plans for the next big game update under wraps.
But a new Season 3 leak has emerged this week that suggests some massive map changes are being worked on.
The question now is just how far Epic Games plans to push these changes when it comes to the release of Season 3.
NEW FORTNITE SEASON 3 LEAKS
A new Fortnite Season 3 leak found this week suggests that water is going to play a much bigger role.
Reports are coming in that some official artwork from Fortnite Season 3 has been found via the PlayStation Store.
It features the Battle Bus flying over a large ocean, with only a small island in the background.
This would fit in with the ongoing theory that the new Doomsday Device will help flood the map.
It’s unclear if these map changes will happen during the next Fortnite live event – scheduled for this weekend – or during the release of Season 3.
WHEN IS THE FORTNITE DOOMSDAY EVENT?
The Fortnite Doomsday event release date has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2020, a week later than first announced.
Epic Games has also given the event an official name, referring to it as “The Device,” which makes a lot of sense at this point.
The development team has also confirmed that the next Fortnite live event time has been set for 2pm ET.
This means for gamers in the UK, Fortnite: The Device will be kicking off at 7pm GMT, on the same day.
This should make it possible for most people to tune and watch the Doomsday device do whatever it has been made for.
Epic Games has also warned that this event will not be replayed and gamers will want to get into servers 30 minutes before everything kicks off.
