Fortnite season 2 entered its tenth week yesterday, with a slew of new challenges, rewards and more on the horizon from Epic Games. The developers have released the new content ahead of the incoming season three, which has now been pushed back due to COVID-19
When is the new season 3 start date?
Epic Games originally scheduled Fortnite season 2 to end in just over a week on April 30, with fans clamouring for a release from the COVID-19 lockdown.
The new season will bring a swathe of content, with weapons, skins, items and more.
However, people will need to wait much longer than expected, with the season now due to land more than one month later.

Fortnite Season 3 release date delay – When is new Season 3 start date?
Posting on the Epic Games official website, the Fortnite Team said the new season 3 date is June 4.
They said: “We’re extending Chapter 2 – Season 2 of Fortnite beyond the original April 30 date.
“Our plan is to launch Chapter 2 – Season 3 on June 4.
“Before then, there’s lots of content coming in the current Season.”
“We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises up our sleeve!
“For continued updates on the new Fortnite Season and other plans, we’ll keep you up to speed here and on our social channels.”
The latest extension isn’t the first Epic Games has instituted, with the first season of the new chapter also extended from December 2019 to February 2020.
Then, the developers pushed back the date to hold several events, including Star Wars Episode IX and Harley Quinn crossovers.

Fortnite Season 3 release date: Fortnite’s third season will debut on June 4
They followed a similar pattern with the latest season, as Marvel character Deadpool made an appearance earlier this month.
The Merc with a Mouth’s presence has spawned a selection of X-Force themed skins and items with the latest update.
Battle Pass holders can still clear themed challenges and unlock the Deadpool and Deadpool Unmasked skins.
Season 2’s extension would give people another month to complete many of these challenges, alongside any other outlying in-game responsibilities.
Epic Games is yet to reveal any details about what to expect from the third season of chapter 2.
However, as with every season, players can expect another upcoming battle pass, which includes any V-Bucks, skins, gliders, pickaxes and emotes.
