Galaxy S11 release date confirmed? Samsung fans may not have too long to wait 1

Samsung’s new Galaxy S11 could be revealed much sooner than you think. The latest rumours and gossip suggests that this new flagship could arrive in February with one leak even revealing an actual date for the big launch.

According to tech tipster @UniverseIce, the time everyone needs to pop in their diary is February 18 with Samsung apparently planning an Unpacked event on that day in San Francisco.

There’s nothing to back top these claims but that early February date would make some sense.

Over the past couple of years, Samsung has revealed its devices a few weeks ahead of the Mobile World Congress technology show in Barcelona rather than lifting the lid on its next flagship at this global event.

This change in tactic means Samsung can take all of the headlines rather than unveiling their shiny new phone alongside every other manufacturer at MWC.

Mobile World Congress begins on February 24 next year so, if the date from @UniverseIce is correct, this would mean Samsung gets a week of attention before all the other updated phones from the likes of Sony, LG and Nokia are shown to the world.

The Galaxy S11 looks set to best smartphones Samsung has ever made with rumours suggesting that the device will get a faster processor, better battery life and tweaked design.

These are all the usual upgrades most would expect but where things could get really exciting is the new camera.

Samsung has codenamed its next rear snapper “Hubble” after the largest space telescope ever launched and there could be a good reason why it’s getting this comparison.
