Samsung may have recently released its new Galaxy S20 and Note 20 smartphones but it seems it hasn’t forgotten about customers with older devices tucked in their pockets. The Korean technology firm has just revealed a list of devices that will be treated to the One UI 2.5 software update and both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S9 are on the list.
Clearly, the S10 is only 18-months old so it’s not much of a surprise to hear that that phone is getting some new features.
However, some S9 users may be pleasantly surprised to know that their phones are also set for this feature-packed change.
Announcing the news on its website, Samsung confirmed that the Update will be available on the following devices which include the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, S20 Ultra, S20+ 5G, S20+, S20 5G, S20/S10 5G, S10+, S10, S10e, S10 Lite, S9, S9+/Note10+ 5G, Note10+, Note10 5G, Note10, Note10 Lite, Note9/Z Flip 5G, Z Flip, Fold 5G, Fold.
So what new features will One UI 2.5 bring to your phone?
Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy S20 will be the first to get this blockbuster update and we are assuming that all of the new features coming to this device will then appear on Samsung’s older phones.
Perhaps one of the best upgrades comes to the camera with One UI 2.5 including a Pro Video mode which lets users produce high-fidelity videos.
Along with better image quality, Pro Video mode on the Galaxy S20 series gives you the ability to control the smartphone’s mic direction, so you can pick up specific sounds when you shoot.
And when paired with the Galaxy Buds line-up, you can even use the earbuds as a pro-style lavalier microphone to minimize background noise and record crystal-clear audio.
The latest One UI 2.5 update on the Galaxy S20 is bringing even more powerful features to Samsung Notes which the firm says will help you get things done faster.
With Audio Bookmark, you can synchronise your notes with audio recordings of lectures or meetings. When you review your notes, you can simply select a section of what you wrote to play back the corresponding audio.
