Resident Evil Village release time news and RE8 launch date latest

Resident Evil Village release time news and RE8 launch date latest
Capcom has big plans in May, with the release of Resident Evil Village offering a brand new adventure in the famous franchise.

RE8 will also come with a special multiplayer experience called Resident Evil Re:Verse, an option that will come bundled with your new download.

However, while Resident Evil Village will become fully playable later this week, Re:Verse has been delayed until Summer.

So if you’re having issues with hard drive space, it might be worth cancelling this part of the new Resi download.

Meanwhile, Resident Evil Village is set to expand on the RE: Biohazard story, featuring Ethan Winters as the protagonist.

“The creeping dead of the village is the least of Ethan’s worries as he plunges further into the unknown,” the official RE8 description reads.

“In order to rescue his kidnapped daughter and seek answers to haunting questions, Ethan will have to face bitter truths about why his life was once again shattered, and why the heroic Chris Redfield has taken such a dark turn.

“Who, or what, will Ethan find waiting for him at the end of his journey, and what terrifying foes will he encounter along the way?

“You’ll be facing a wide variety of foes, which will require different approaches if you want to fight back effectively. You’ll also have new ways to engage with enemies by kicking them away to create some space to escape or fight back. while blocking makes a return from Resident Evil 7 biohazard.

“A Deluxe version of the game is available that includes multiple bonus items, including a Samurai Edge weapon, an option to replace the save room music and the typewriters you save on with the music and tape recorder from Resident Evil 7 biohazard, and other bonuses.

“Those looking for the ultimate conversation starter can grab the Collector’s Edition from select retailers, which offers everything in the Deluxe Edition plus a Chris Redfield statue, poster, art book, and SteelBook case in a special Collector’s Edition box.”

Meanwhile, the Microsoft Store suggests that Resident Evil Village will become playable at 7pm on May 6, which likely means Midnight on May 7 in the UK.

Until then, the Resident Evil Village will remain playable for those who haven’t started playing it yet.

Demo access will last a full week, meaning you can play through the full 60 minutes until May 10.

The original 24-hour window starting 5PM PDT May 1 (1AM BST May 2) has been increased by a week, and now ends at the same times on May 9 PDT (May 10 BST).

As mentioned above, this demo has been available on PS4 several times over the past few weeks but it will be the first instance when it has launched on Xbox and PC platforms.

MLB The Show 21 servers down again after game update 4 patch release
MLB The Show 21 servers are down once again for maintenance after game update 4 was released earlier this week. The latest batch of server downtime marks the third week in a row that MLB The Show fans have faced scheduled server maintenance following the game’s launch on April 20. On launch day MLB The Show 21 players were hit with an unhandled server exception error message and since the game’s big release on PlayStation and – for the first time – Xbox consoles there has been plenty of work taking place to bring server performance up to scratch.
As with previous MLB The Show 21 server downtimes the latest scheduled maintenance began today (Thursday May 6) at 4am pacific time – which is 7am eastern and 12pm BST.

Announcing the latest MLB The Show server maintenance the game’s official Twitter account said: “Server maintenance is scheduled at 4 AM PT on Thursday 5/6/21. Please complete all games prior to that time. Thank you.”

The latest MLB The Show 21 server downtime is taking place after game update 4 dropped on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X and S consoles earlier this week.

Announcing the release of game update 4 the game’s official Twitter account wrote: “Our number one priority remains server stability and performance. We have a small game & server update 4 AM PT on 5/4/21.”

Moved the All-Star game to Colorado

Audio fixes for loanDepot Park

Double XP is still turned on.

We will continue to monitor performance and work to improve stability as we move forward.

Thank you for playing MLB The Show!

Super Animal Royale Is Parachuting Onto Switch Later This Year

Super Animal Royale Is Parachuting Onto Switch Later This Year

Do you fancy playing a battle royale game featuring trigger-happy tigers and murderous monkeys? If that sounds like your thing, then Super Animal Royale might be the game for you. Modus Games and Pixile Studios have announced that it will be coming to Switch later this year.

Here’s a bit more about this intriguing title:

Super Animal Royale is a battle royale with a zoological twist. Play as your favorite cuddly, genetically modified animal picked from 300+ breeds, find your style with 600+ cosmetic items, and jump off the back of a Giant Eagle and into a 64-player fight to the death! You’ll fire shotguns and sparrows, toss grenades and bananas, ride emus and hamster balls all the way to the top of the food chain. The explosive top-down action pairs perfectly with an expressive flat-design style, and the innovative fog-of-war-system enables a game that’s as deep and strategic as it is fun and accessible.

Over on Steam the game has achieved 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews, so it might be one to keep an eye on. Check out the trailer above and let us know what you think with a comment below.

Starfield release date delay: Bethesda game skipping 2021 launch and E3?

Starfield release date delay: Bethesda game skipping 2021 launch and E3?
Fans of Bethesda role-playing games will be disappointed to hear the latest reports about the Starfield release date.

According to industry insider Jason Schreier, the upcoming RPG won’t be released in 2021.

This contradicts previous rumours that the Bethesda game could have a 2021 release date.

Schreier made the claim during a recent Reddit thread, alongside his belief that Starfield wouldn’t appear during this year’s E3 event.

Unfortunately, however, there’s no word on whether or not Starfield will come to PS5, or if it will be an Xbox Series X exclusive.

A previous report suggested that Microsoft and Bethesda are working their hardest to have the game ready for the holiday release window.

The game is said to be “sort of finished”, with Bethesda working on polishing the game and fixing bugs.

Unfortunately, however, it’s bad news for PlayStation fans, because the latest reports suggest Starfield will be an Xbox exclusive.

Not much else is known about Starfield, which is Bethesda’s first new franchise in 25 years.

“Discover Starfield, the new space epic currently in development by Bethesda Game Studios,” reads the official Starfield description.

“Starfield is the first new franchise in twenty-five years from the acclaimed developers of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series.”

One thing we do know is that Starfield will be a single-player experience, unlike Fallout 76.

Save up to 50% During the 505 Games Publisher Sale

It’s time to grab your katana and service weapon, head to start line and dive into the 505 Games Publisher Sale, now live on the Xbox Store.

The 505 Games Publisher Sale offers some amazing deals on a wide range of our titles, including Ghostrunner (-50%) Control Ultimate Edition (-50%) Assetto Corsa Competizione (-50%) Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (-50%) Abzu (-50%) and much more. We’ve also discounted a bunch of DLCs, so there really is something for everyone!

Not sure what to pick up? Let us help you out. We recently asked some of our 505 Games family to recommend titles based on the ones featured in the Xbox Publisher Sale. Check out their responses here:

505 Games Recommends

“One of my favourite games is Control Ultimate Edition. Since getting my Xbox Series X, I’ve gone back to it at least once a week to experience the Oldest House again and again with raytracing! However, when I’m short on time, I love dipping into Book of Demons. It’s a hack-n-slash dungeon crawler with a super cool art style, reminiscent of pop-up books.” – Carly Drew, Senior Global Brand Manager

Control Ultimate Edition

“I have two recommendations! My first is Ghostrunner. It’s the first time it has been 50% off on Xbox, and the new Kill Run Mode released recently is a complete game changer. My second recommendation is Unturned as the community behind this game on Xbox are amazing and the game is so fun!” – Ben Godwin, Xbox Partnership Manager

Ghostrunner

“The game I have put the most time into as a player would be Portal Knights so this would be my top recommendation. The game grew massively alongside community feedback, whilst taking inspiration from some of the biggest sandbox, action, RPG games. I love the freedom the game offers, whether you’re interested in creating beautiful worlds, going on quests, defeating bosses, collecting rare loot, there’s so much to get involved with. All in all, it’s amazing value for money if you enjoy sandbox games!” – Thomas Simpson, Global Brand Manager

Portal Knights

“One of my favourite games of all time is Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. The game’s beautiful storyline will move you and stay with you forever: it is one of those rare games that revolves around deeply personal themes such as death and acceptance and gets it just right. In addition to its deeply moving storyline, I also love the fairy-tale like environments and music.

Another favourite of mine is Abzu. With everything going on in the world, I find myself really enjoying how this game lets me explore a vibrant environment beneath the ocean. This is the perfect game for when I need to travel to a stunning and different world to find some inner peace.” – Chiara Pasquini, Release Manager

ABZU

As for my recommendation? I’m going with Assetto Corsa Competizione. As a hardcore motorsport fan, this title is very close to my heart. The team over at Kunos Simulazioni have created something very special with ACC. Each track has been reproduced using Laser Scan technology, so you’ll feel ever bump and kerb on track. What’s more, each car has been developed alongside renowned manufacturers, including the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari, and McLaren. Not only is the main game discounted but so is the Season Pass and discounts across the individual DLC packs. There’s honestly never been a better time to head trackside.

ACC

There you have it! A bunch of recommendations from those who know these games inside out. Don’t hold back because the 505 Games Publisher Sale ends on May 10.

Returnal update today PULLED: New PS5 patch coming soon after save error

Returnal update today PULLED: New PS5 patch coming soon after save error
A new Returnal update released today on PS5 has been pulled by developers Housemarque, who are planning to replace it with another patch.

Notes from this week’s latest changes were posted on the official Returnal website and contain these tweaks to the game:

  • Fixed an issue where certain Trophies might not unlock under specific gameplay conditions. Note: missing Trophies will need to be replayed to unlock.
  • Multiple stability fixes addressing rare crashes/hangs.
  • Fixed issue with pre-order suits occasionally blocking item collection and door opening.
  • Fixed incorrect healing behaviour when resting in Helios.
  • Configuration changes to increase the number of scout corpses available in all biomes.
  • Fixed issues with certain custom controller mappings.
  • Numerous minor fixes and improvements.
However, since posting these patch notes, the development team has confirmed that they have been forced to pull the latest Returnal update.

This is due to gamers being affected by a corrupted save error, which highlights the problems through a CE-100028-1 error code.

Since this problem was highlighted by fans, the latest PS5 Returnal patch has been removed and will be replaced by another in the coming hours.

A message from Housemarque explains the current situation, telling gamers that those who have been affected by today’s problems will have to re-download Returnal.

“Patch 1.3.3 has been pulled and we are reverting back to 1.3.1 until it’s fixed. We are fixing the issue now and a new patch will be published in a few hours,” Housemarque told gamers on Twitter today.

“All users affected by the 1.3.3 need to re-download the game. Our sincerest apologies.

“Q: How do we know we are affected? A: You’ll get the CE-100028-1 error popup. Just wait for the next patch coming soon if you’re not sure. So to be safe, don’t start the game before the upcoming patch is available and downloaded.”

It’s unclear when the new Rertunal update will be made available to download but it appears gamers will have access to it on Thursday, May 6.

The One-Off Audi AI:RACE Comes First to Project CARS 3

When we began planning content for the final DLC for Project CARS 3, we asked our automotive partners what they had in their Electric Vehicle (EV) pipeline. That’s one of the more rewarding parts of my job because the EV space right now is where the action is, and the moment we saw the Audi AI:RACE, we knew this was the one we had to get in-game.

The ultimate in track-day toys, what makes this car even more exciting is that it’s a one-off concept — Audi’s vision for the sportscar of tomorrow.

And that was exactly the kind of content we wanted to bring to the Electric Pack.

Project CARS 3: Electric Pack

The Audi AI:RACE is basically a two-seater “wing-car” with tons of downforce and LMP1 levels of performance. A press of a button, though, shifts the driver’s seat into a central position in the cockpit (“monoposto”-style) to transform it into a single-seater race car.

But as cool as that is, it got even better when Audi sent us the CADs and we realized that, hiding under that mix of aluminium, carbon, and multi-material composite body, is the all-winning Le Mans Audi R18 e-tron quattro suspension along with three electric engines—one up front (200hp), and two at the rear (470hp). With boost, it’s good for 765hp.

In English, that’s 0-100kmh in around two seconds!

The motorsport-derived performance doesn’t end there either: quattro all-wheel drive and battery packs positioned mid-engine for optimal driving dynamics make the Audi AI:RACE “emotion without emissions”.

And speaking of emotion, I’m the guy at the studio who gets to drive our simulated cars first, so you can imagine what a thrill it was to finally test drive it. Only one of these cars have been built and, as far as I know, Audi haven’t yet pushed it to its limits, so that, I thought, made me into an Audi test driver … right before I overshot the first turn by miles!

My excuse? This thing is inanely quick, and EVs can be a bit baffling at first because the torque is both immense and instantaneous. Sad truth though? I ran out of talent long before this Audi ran out of grip…

The design ideas on this car are also wild. Because it’s an EV, Audi were able to implement all sorts of innovative concepts like the steep dip of the hood that gives the driver incredible visibility — from the cockpit, you can see straight down onto the road through the openings in the ventilated hood, and that allows you to hit apexes with amazing precision. The dashboard, meanwhile, is essentially translucent glass onto which all the data is projected.

It’s all very sci-fi and a bit like sitting in a glass house, and because there’s no “engine,” you begin to hear all the other noises that would be masked by an internal combustion engine, so Lead Audio Designer Tim Shepherd and Sound Designer Owen Packer had to get creative with the sounds. You’ll notice the wind, road, and chassis noises are far more audible and help contribute to a unique aural experience and sense of speed.

Drivers may also hear the wind displacement sounds we popped in as part of our audio reflection system (on lampposts, bridges, etc.), as well as the two main layers to the Audi AI:RACE audio — the physical sound of the electric motor (which is not as dominant here as on other EV cars in-game) and a designed layer which ties in with the vehicle’s aesthetics, built from seams of synthesized sound. Both layers carry multiple harmonics which grow and blend, and with added modulation based on load, help convey the huge torque at your disposal.

When we asked Audi about what kind of liveries we could use, they sent us their own exclusive Audi-only colours for this car: there are seven, including tactical green (my favourite) and bare aluminium.

The car itself is just a stunning piece of engineering, with that fold-out rear wing, colossal rear diffuser that can be moved downward to increase downforce, and the frontend that sports the Audi hexagon on the Singleframe grille.
