Google Maps Street View is a tool used by people all around the world. It’s commonly used to help people navigate their own country as well as destinations further away. However, more recently the tool has been used to spot some haunting sights.
The tool is normally used as an online mapping service which is owned by Google.
For those who don’t just use the tool to navigate, Google Maps also offers satellite images, street maps, panoramic views of streets and route planning.
Sometimes the most bizarre scenes found on Google Maps go viral, catapulting the user to fame.
And this could be the case for one sighting which was spotted recently.

Google Maps: Street View catches ghostly hand on the side of the road – what is it?
The image doesn’t show much but what can be seen is very creepy.
The sight shows a rod with green grass in the background.
There appears to be a driveway in the background with some cars too.
It’s not clear where the image was spotted but it looks like there is a letter box at the front of the house.

In the middle of the road is a floating hand that looks like the ghostly palm of an apparition.
However, on closer inspection it seems that the mystery hand could just be a glitch in the Google lens camera.
Sometimes the Google Maps lens can make mistakes and cause glitches that can sometimes look bizarre.
The ghostly sighting was spotted by a eagle-eyed Reddit user.

They posted the screenshot on the forum with the caption, “Street view is a very handy feature…”
The image has since garnered plenty of comments.
One user said: “It’s like those point and click games where the cursor changes to a hand to interact with something.”
