Greta Thunberg humiliation: Activist mocked as she's named after 'annoying slimy bug'

Researchers mentioned the snail was named after Greta as a result of the bug was caught on a planet that’s sizzling as “hell”. The creature has been named “Craspedotropis gretathunberga”.

The snail was discovered not too long ago by scientists on the island of Borneo close to Malaysia, in keeping with the Biodiversity Knowledge Journal.

Menno Schilthuizen, of the scientific analysis group Taxon Expeditions mentioned: “The newly described snail belongs to the so-called caenogastropods, a gaggle of land snails identified to be delicate to drought, temperature extremes and forest degradation.”

The tiny mollusks have gray tentacles and a concave shell.

The snail was named after the Swedish local weather change activist as a result of they’ve been been compelled to “repair issues they didn’t create”, in keeping with researcher J.P. Lim.

Mr Lim mentioned: “Naming this snail after Greta Thunberg is our means of acknowledging that her technology shall be accountable for fixing issues that they didn’t create.

“And it’s a promise that folks from all generations will be a part of her to assist.”

Greta knowledgeable the group that she was “delighted” {that a} snail had been named after her.

The snails had been discovered on the foot of a hill close to a riverbank.
