Sports presenter Dan O’Toole has taken to Instagram, confirming that his daughter Oakland has been kidnapped.
The 44-year-old Canadian star took to his Instagram page to share the heartbreaking news.
In a statement, he said: “My baby Oakland. I’m praying that whoever has you, is holding you.
“That whoever has taken you from me, is protecting you. That, whoever has you, let’s you come back into my arms. I love you Oakland.
“I can’t wait to one day hold you again. My heart is broken. I am broken. To be clear, Oakland is alive, we think. But we don’t know. I have a one-month-old child, and I don’t know where she is.”
Dan who also has daughters Ruby and Sydney with wife Corrie O’Toole is most known for his role on TSN’s SportCentre with co-host Jay Onrait.
The presenter frequently shares snaps with his family to his 53,300 Instagram followers is yet to comment further following the disappearance of his youngster.
Dan and his wife welcomed Oakland at the end of May, with the dad-of-three confirming her arrival on May 26.
It is believed that no Amber Alert has been issued for the youngster.
Taking to Twitter, Dan’s former colleague and team reporter for the New Jersey Devils, Amanda Stein said: “Absolutely heartbroken for @tsnotoole, who posted this about an hour ago on his Instagram. His one-month-old daughter Oakland is missing.
“Please keep Dan and his family in your thoughts, and for the safe return of Oakland to her parents.”
She continued: “I am sick to my stomach, this is just so devastating. I cannot even imagine the agony.”
Fans have since taken to Twitter to share their heartbreaking following the news.
“Hopefully, they get an Amber Alert out soon!” read one tweet.
While a second fan said: “Praying for your daughter’s safe return. I am the father of a baby and cannot even imagine what you and your wife are going through. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers for Oakland’s safe return.”
A third replied: “What kind of monster takes a baby.”
