The independent research commissioned by the train line assessed the CO2 per passenger produced by a London to Paris Eurostar journey compared to a matching flight.
The research took into account passenger loadings and power consumption, as well as how Eurostar’s electricity is generated.
According to the experts, passengers can cut CO2 emissions by a staggering 90 percent per person by opting for rail travel.
Meanwhile, Eurostar also works with partner hotels offering discounts on selected stays for passengers.
Customers also opt for Standard Premier tickets from £70 and enjoy more space on board, a light meal and refreshments during their journey.
