Holidays are the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to a little bit of extra luxury, which is something Bahamian mega-resort Baha Mar takes very seriously. A Channel 5 documentary aired this weekend revealing the inner workings of the £3.4 billion hotel and offered a glimpse at some of the areas regular guests don’t always get a chance to see. One of those was the exclusive Presidential Suite, which spans just over 4,000 sq ft.
Guiding the camera into a massive home cinema, complete with plush, white leather loungers he says: “We have the media room. A lot of families come in and put the kids in the media room and they have their privacy.
“They close this up and forget about their kids.”
On top of that, there are three bedrooms, spread out over two floors.
Each room comes with its own en suite-one of which is home to a very romantic “roman tub”.
Most surprisingly of all, however, is that there is no price tag attached to the room.
In fact, most guests who stay at the suite do so for free.
Vincent explains: “You would have to be an invited guest of the casino to stay here. You can’t call up, it is not on the website. It is exclusively for our high-end casino clients.”
Baha Mar has its own on-site casino which is aimed particularly at guests who see themselves as so-called “high rollers”, willing to throw down millions in a single day.
Secrets of the Mega Resort explains the importance of encouraging wealthy guests to gamble “vast sums of money” in the 100,000 square-foot casino.
