Jack P Shepherd, 32, has been a regular fixture on the ITV soap Coronation Street since he was just 12 years-old. But the David Platt actor admitted if an opportunity came up that was “too good to turn down” he would take it.
Jack has been at the forefront of some hard-hitting storylines on the cobbles, as fans may recall the Platt family being driven into a canal in 2003.
Another memorable moment came in 2009, where the soap character was completely drenched after Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) attempted to drown him in the bath. during one scene.
But Jack admitted he would walk away if a better opportunity was to come along.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the actor said: “If something came up that was too good an opportunity to turn down, or if they stopped writing good stories for me, then I probably would leave.

Jack, who hosts a film club podcast with his co-stars Ben Price and Colson Smith called Sofa Cinema Club, dances and slides around his home to Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger.
He grabs a poker from the fireplace and plays it like a guitar before jumping onto his coffee table.
The soap star then leaps onto his sofa and kicks his legs.
Co-star Sally Ann Matthews who plays Jenny Connor commented: “You nearly had my eye out there… x”
