Philippe Coutinho price

Barcelona have revealed their minimum price for playmaker Philipp Coutinho.

Coutinho, 27, has been widely tipped to leave the Nou Camp in the upcoming transfer window having failed to justify his £142million price-tag.

Several European sides have been linked with his signature including Chelsea, Manchester United, Everton and Leicester.

It was previously thought that Barcelona would dramatically drop their valuation to get Coutinho’s £240,000-a-week wages off the books.

But Spanish website Mundo Deportivo claim the Catalan giants will NOT sell for anything less than £87million.

However, Calciomercato claim Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has been in regular contact.

Ferran Torres suitability

Liverpool’s style of play would suit Valencia winger Ferran Torres.

That’s according to the Spanish club’s former sporting director Fernando Gomez, who believes Torres also possesses the mental resilience to deal with the pressures and demands of Premier League football.

“He can perform well in any team and in any league. In England too, of course, at Liverpool or any other team,” Gomez told Tribal Football. “Jurgen Klopp’s system fits him and he is mentally very strong to cope with pressure and demands.”

The Reds have been linked with the talented 20-year-old midfielder, who has a £91million release clause in his contract which expires in June 2021.

Edinson Cavani to Manchester United

Manchester United have intensified their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

That’s according to Spanish website Todofichajes, who claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are already holding negotiations with the Uruguayan’s representatives.

The 33-year-old’s current deal with PSG expires at the end of June and will be available on a free transfer.

It’s said the 13-time Premier League champions are prepared to make Cavani one the Premier League’s ‘highest paid players’ and that an ‘agreement’ could be reached in the coming weeks.

Jadon Sancho shirt number

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is set to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham if he joins Manchester United this summer.

And that, according to the Daily Mirror, is because the Red Devils are ready to offer him the famous number seven.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are leading the race to sign the teenager, who has scored 31 goals and provided 42 assists for the Bundesliga club.

The Red Devils have offered the 20-year-old a ‘lucrative contract’ and hope the added bonus of their famous number seven shirt will see him arrive at Old Trafford this summer.

German newspaper Bild claim the Bundesliga champions were looking to bring RB Leipzig’s sought-after striker to the Allianz Arena.

Bild claim the Germany international has ‘set his sights’ on joining Liverpool and would like to work alongside Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Max Bird to Chelsea

Chelsea are ‘very close’ to completing their second summer signing, reports claim.

The Blues have already captured Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech for an initial £37million, but another deal is in the pipeline.

Website Todofichajes claim Chelsea are close to ‘finalising’ a deal for Derby midfielder Max Bird, who was given his Championship debut by Frank Lampard in December 2018.

The report claims Chelsea will pay £4.7million for the talented 19-year-old after manager Lampard ‘requested’ his services at Stamford Bridge.

Wanted: David Alaba

Chelsea want to sign Bayern Munich star David Alaba, according to European football expert Guillem Balague.

The Blues have been linked with a number of left-backs in recent months, including Leicester and England star Ben Chilwell.

Balague said on his YouTube channel: “There’s another player that if available, if not wanted by others, if he doesn’t go anywhere else, Chelsea would like. And that’s Alaba.

“He’s been approached by other clubs, yes, but Chelsea will be interested in Alaba and I think that his versatility will really work in favour of Frank Lampard.”
