Janette said: “Me and Jake spoke about it, there’s always this conversation about the Strictly curse and all these things coming up.
“I’m in a happy relationship, and he is happily married, so rumba is easy waters to create any kind of stir with that.”
She added: “I remember Jake saying to me, he was very very clear, he said, ‘You know I really don’t want to do one of those rumba’s that are like all raunchy and sexy and all that. I’m a happily married man, I’ve got kids, I just don’t feel that’s where I want to go with it.'”
The admission by Jake made Janette, who married husband Aljaž Skorjanec in 2017, feel relieved that they would not be dancing “sexy” together.
It comes as Janette has been enjoying quality time at home during lockdown.
In a recent interview with Hello Magazine, she spoke on falling in love with Aljaz all over again.
She revealed: “In lockdown, we have been able to reconnect again just as Aljaz and Janette – not the dancers but the human beings.
“It kind of reminded us why we fell in love in the first place.”
