The Chase’s Jenny Ryan, 38, who is also known as The Vixen, has said her “internal critic” has “churned out” way worse comments than any other social media troll has, just days after one viewer told her she was the “worst” Chaser on the programme. The quizzing sensation said the Twitter user’s “weakest” remark was an example of “deliberately trying to be cruel”.
My internal critic churns them out.
Last week, one social media user tweeted: “Jenny from The Chase is the worst out of them all honestly.
“#thechase obviously she’s smart and knows a lot of stuff, but compared to the rest, she’s the weakest out of the bunch @jenlion.”
Since she first expressed her thoughts over their “cruel” tweet, Jenny revealed that her “internal critic” has churned out worse comments before now.
It comes after stand-up comedian Tiffany Stevenson, 41, addressed her experience of trolling in view of her 45,000 Twitter followers.

She penned: “I enjoy when any troll thinks they can be meaner to me than the one living in my own head giving me a 24/7 commentary.”
Jenny, who could seemingly relate to Tiffany’s post, decided to share the comic’s statement onto her 79,000 followers last night with a series of backhand index pointing down emojis.
The Chase star proceeded to announce: “When folk (trying to be kind) say ‘Don’t let them upset you! Ignore!’ it’s hard to explain this: I’m not upset. I’m fed up, narked, exasperated…but mostly BORED of hearing negatives about myself.
“My internal critic churns them out faster & harder than internet strangers ever can.”

In an addition tweet to explain her point further, she said: “Funny that not everyone in the replies to this has read it properly,” which was followed by a laughing face emoji.
One fan kindly commented: “@jenlion, we all have an internal critic and some are absolute nightmares. Sounds like you’re struggling with yours.
“You also have great success in the real world and are liked and admired alike in the real world. Results count, and you’re a star!”
Another shared: “Well I think you are fantastic. I am big chase fan and you def my FAV on there. Be strong Twitter def can be a dark place.”

It comes just days after Jenny hit back at the viewer’s initial tweet as she tweeted: “Y’all are entitled to an opinion (even if it’s not entirely correct) but tagging the subject is just deliberately trying to be cruel.(sic)
“And anyway, if the worst you can say is that I’m in the top 6 UK Chasers, that’s still a pretty amazing achievement. Go me!”
Shortly afterwards, one concerned fan replied: “Do you really take this kind of s**t seriously? A bunch of nobody people watching you on television with an invalid opinion? (sic)
“I just don’t get why you bother getting upset. You are the winner whichever way you cut it.”
Jenny, who joined The Chase back in 2015, then stated how she isn’t “upset” regardless of their negative words.
“I didn’t say I was upset,” she stressed online.
“Exasperated, maybe? Fed up of having to explain Twitter etiquette.
