Jeremy Corbyn savaged for 'pointless' question – 'Will he not just go away!'

Jeremy Corbyn has been savaged by Britons after challenging Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his coronavirus plan in the House of Commons. The former Labour leader demanded Mr Johnson admit the Government would not lift lockdown measures until it was clear the deadly virus was under control. Britons took to Twitter to attack Mr Corbyn for asking a “pointless” question as the Government has regularly insisted their decisions were guided by the science on the virus.

Mr Corbyn insisted the Government was currently putting lives at risk and the Prime Minister’s message on Sunday could cause more damage in the coming days and weeks.

Mr Johnson replied: “I reject Mr Corbyn’s characterisation of what we are doing.

“We are effectively restating the position of March 23 with a change on emphasis to those that cannot work from home in sectors like construction and manufacturing to go to work.

“This is provided that work is going to be COVID compliant and COVID secure, he is right to raise that vital issue on safety.”

“Cheers pal, that’s a wasted one.”

Another added: “Jesus, will he not just go away and leave this bloody country alone.
