Jessie J and Paul Merson are said to have been offered big money to appear on the upcoming series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
According to insiders, while Jessie is unsure the show is for her, Paul is keen to revive his career by a trip down under.
Despite Covid-19 restrictions, ITV have confirmed the series will return with Ant and Dec hosting once more.
A TV insider spilled: “Paul is really keen to relaunch his TV career and thinks this is the best way to do it after he’s seen what it has done for his mate Harry Redknapp, but he needs it to be worth his while and is negotiating for a top price.
“Jessie’s been offered good money but isn’t sure that the show is for her.”
The insider added to The Sun on Sunday: “She is keen to put her music first.”
If the duo accept the offers they can expect to be rubbing shoulders with some of the most famous names in showbiz.
According to reports ITV are going all out to win over Netflix’s Tiger King legend Carol Baskin.
The big cat lover is said to have been offered a major cheque in return for a stint in Croc Creek.
Despite the reports, ITV are staying tight-lipped, insisting all names linked to the show at this stage are simply rumours.
Meanwhile, sources have told Daily Star Online that ITV are currently making offers to big named celebs and will focus on the small – and cheaper celebs – once they have locked in a few big stars.
Last year’s series of I’m A Celeb was won by EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa.
The starlet was left crying to Ant and Dec after in the jungle studio after taking home the crown.
Jacqueline told the Geordie duo that she was worried people would think she was a “doormat” due to her infamously rocky relationship with TOWIE bad boy Dan Osborne.
