John Cleese, 80, has joined Cameo which allows fans to request and purchase personalised videos from their favourite stars. The Monty Python actor is giving his fans a chance to purchase a clip for a fee of £249 per person.
The comic told fans on the site that he would prefer to send insulting videos as opposed to kind messages.
John cheekily joked he had been “reduced to doing shoutouts” in a bid to earn some money.
In a short introduction video, the Fawlty Towers legend said: “Hello. I’m John Cleese.
“I’ve been reduced to doing these shoutouts so that I can send messages to your loved ones.”

It comes after John also joined US website Fanmio where he offered fans a chance of a virtual meet and greet.
The one-on-one video call would cost recipients £250 to chat with the legendary comic and actor.
The site offers similar style chats with a string of American stars and includes John’s autograph as well as an exclusive shirt in the package deal.
Elsewhere, John recently made a big announcement, admitting it was due to the “boredom of quarantine” following the coronavirus pandemic.
